ATV Network
Limited was originally created in 1968. It was previously known as
Associated Television Limited from 1955 to 1968. ATV Network Limited
was registered as a company until 1992.
After 1992, the
company was disolved into the Polygram Television Company, where the
archive remained. In 1999 Carlton International bought the back
catalogue of ATV programmes. In 2005 the ATV Network Limited Company
name was bought and re-registered by independent producers.
ATV and Central
documents were later bought from Carlton's Lenton Lane Studio complex
in Nottingham when it closed. These have been added to the ATV
archive and include such items as books, scripts, floorplans and photographs.
All archive ATV
programmes 'ATV Network' produced from 1968 to 1982 are the copyright
and ownership of Granada Ventures / Carlton International. This also
applies to the Associated Television productions from 1955 to 1968.
ATV Network Limited has no involvment with the moving pictures
library or Carlton or Granada.
